Omnilux Blue™
Omnilux Blue's most beneficial role is in the treatment of acne. Its 415nm wavelength which targets the bacteria P. Acnes. P. Acnes contains a natural chemical that reacts with light of the correct wavelength (415nm) to produce singlet oxygen, a potent bactericidal product. The reaction causes the bacteria to kill itself and is contained within the bacteria, leaving the surrounding tissue and sebaceous glands intact and fully functional.
Clinical trials of the Omnilux Blue™ and Omnilux Revive™ in combination treatment demonstrated an average 81% reduction in moderate to severe inflammatory acne lesions in a series of eight treatments over four weeks, with substantial improvement in just two weeks after beginning treatment (after 4th treatment). Improvement continued even after the light treatments ended, through the 16th week after treatment.
